What does God really want for the sexual intimacy in our marriage?

I'm Bonnie Burns of Oyster Bed 7. Today we're talking about lies that women believe, specifically lies that affect their marriages and limit their ability to enjoy sex and intimacy.

We're also talking about the truths that women need to embrace in order to

overcome the damaging effects of those lies. You know, when we started brainstorming for this

episode, we were kind of shocked at how many lies we came up with and how easy it was to identify

them. The number of false beliefs and outright untruths about women, sex, and marriage is

truly staggering. So let's get started. Ladies, what are some of the lies we often believe as

women and what are the truths that we need to embrace instead? I think one of the biggest ones that I

hear, or that relates to a lot of other myths we have about things, is that sex

is really for your husband. And this is something we kind of are taught. I think even, I remember

back in my teenage days, there was just this kind of overwhelming thought that guys really wanted sex,

and it was kind of for them and you know if you really

wanted it then that meant some certain things about you and it just became this thing of sex

is really for him and when you look at the Bible that's just not how it plays out at all within those pages.

That lie is one, I mean, I look at our list of lies, and that's one that really had a negative impact on my marriage, because I believed that.

I mean, I believe sex was for my husband and not really for me.
