For two weeks in October 1889, a supernatural shower of rocks fell on the home of Gottlieb

Kaiser and his family, who lived at 302 Cherry Street.

The family at first assumed it was some sort of prank, but who could throw so many rocks

In 1857, an Illinois man claimed that a dark cloud dropped cinders all around him, which

In 1938, a car belonging to Edward McCain, a Benelled Illinois, was badly damaged when

a meteorite crashed through the roof of his garage and smashed into the vehicle.

An Alabama woman named An Hodges became the first person ever struck by a meteorite

in 1954.

She was taken an afternoon nap on the couch and was awakened when the space rock broke

through the roof of her home, punched through the ceiling and struck her on the hip.

But those were all meteorites that kind of rocks that are supposed to fall from the sky.
