Hey everybody, this is Rob Leifeld. It's time for another excursion into the land of

Robeservations. Robeservations is when we examine, pick apart, do the deep dives, deep cuts of comic

books, pop culture, how they intersect and all that they have meant to all of us,

especially to me, because they have been my obsession and my passion since I was seven years old

and first became obsessed with every comic book on the spinner rack. If I could have had them all, if I could have had them just deliver the spinner rack to my house every month.

What a joyful occasion that would have been.

But it was every week, sometimes every day, most definitely every weekend,

pouring over comic books with a passion that became a career and a career that has just been such an

amazing blessing to me, has been such an amazing ride, given me the opportunity to share with you,

not just my artwork, but my creations as Deadpool, Cable, Domino, X-Force, Youngblood, Brigade,

huge runs on Captain America, avengers all the way through up until

the day uh just what what a blast i love comic books i prefer a good comic book to pretty much anything else in

life and what we do here at observations is we deep dive through the past because my favorite saying here is the past

informs the future today we are going to have added this is a good one these are the untold tales

of the untold tales of the comics industry every business has projects, films, music, TV that doesn't come together, that's announced,

that doesn't finalize. Comics is no different. And there have been some classics, some amazing

bodies of work, some amazing projects that were almost completed, some amazing projects

that didn't quite get off the ground but saw some movement. We're going to examine all of those

today. We've got three key stories that I'm going to share with you, including one that I

am involved in towards the end. We'll get to that at the end. But let me tell you something. I'm going to start with the summer of 1982.
