This is the Jockel Unraveling podcast episode 39 with Daryl Cooper and myself,

Jockel Willink. The date today is October 15th, 2023. Most of the podcasts that I do

are, and that you do as well, are what are termed evergreen podcasts, meaning

that you can listen to them at any time, and they still are relevant and make

sense. The reason I'm giving the date is because I think in this situation with

what's going on over in the Holy Land, things are changing very rapidly. So, things

that we say today may be proven or disproven or irrelevant or more

relevant in three days or five days or one hour depending on the way things

unfold. So I just wanted to give that date Sunday, October 15th, 2023 is when we're

recording this, the war in the Holy Land. Strategic goals of Hamas, like what?

So they launched this attack, they slaughter people, they rape people, they murder

people, civilians, the whole nine yards. When you think about their strategic

goal, I know on the last podcast we did, I was kind of calling it a win-win for

Hamas in a way. You know, them, they don't do well if there's peace, right? That's

not Hamas' platform. As peace was breaking out in the Middle East between the

Abraham Accords, you know, with the UAE and Bahrain and this emerging one that

it looked like was going to happen with Saudi Arabia, it seems to me like

their strategic goal is just to cause chaos and mayhem and it seems like it's

working out. Yeah, I think we can glean a little bit about their strategy from

what happened back in 1996 when the Oslo Accords were being negotiated and

you know, on both, there was a constituency for peace and making a settlement on
