This is the Jocco Unraveling podcast episode number 38 with Darryl Cooper and me, Jocco Willink,

and yes, it's been a while since we've done one of these. But the name of the podcast is the

Unraveling podcast, and it certainly seems at this time that things are unraveling very quickly.

It is October 11th, 2023, and well, things are fallen apart very quickly over in the Middle East

in Israel and Gaza. Quote from blood and radium. Makes no difference what men think of war said

the judge, or in dares. War always was here before man was or waited for him. The ultimate trade

awaiting its ultimate practitioner. That is the way it was and will be that way and not some

other way. Sometimes I just just refer to that book to remind me that human beings are savages

and we will just kill each other. As well as man, what do you think of stone? Exactly.

Yeah, so sometimes you get, you know, for me, I'm an optimistic person, I guess I might say,

and I'll look at the world and things seem to be moving in the right directions and things

are going, seem to be going well. And then you see what's happened in the past week or so,

just reminds me that yeah, you can be heading in the right direction and get completely and

utterly derailed by the mayhem that's going on. And you know, I always talk about war being

a test of wills and it definitely is a test of wills. And the only reason war happens is because

we don't know whose will is stronger because if we knew whose will was stronger, we wouldn't fight.

You know, if I knew that you had a stronger will in your country than I had in mine,

I'd go, you know what, we better just figure out a deal here and vice versa. But when you think

your will is stronger than mine and I think my will is stronger than yours, there's only one way

to find out. It's the same thing in a bar fight, right? It's like no one picks a fight that they

know they're going to lose or very few people do. Sometimes they still do because you get emotional

and you get wild. I mean, you could say that about you could say that about hummus right now.
