And right now we're watching as the war in Afghanistan closes down for America, whether

it's closing down for anyone else, I think that's a tough thing to say.

The headlines that you're seeing are definitely bleak.

Things like how the Afghan war showed the limits of US military power, things like America's

war in Afghanistan is ending in crushing defeat.

That's from the economist, first one was from the AP, Bloomberg said US lost war in Afghanistan

20 years ago.

And this is kind of what we're looking at.

The question losses, 3562 killed in action of that, 2420 Americans.

22,773 wounded of those 19,950 are Americans.

And it's worth noting that wounded and surviving in modern era means your wounds are probably

pretty bad, but they were able to keep these soldiers alive because our procedures and

our technology and our Kasevak is so much better now, but a lot of those 19,950 are really

hurt badly.

Afghan losses 65,000 plus Afghan security forces killed in action.

50,000 or more Taliban killed in action.

45 plus thousand civilians killed.

That's, I mean, I guess there's all kinds of estimates there.

Cost 2.6 trillion dollars.

Over 20 years.
