| 0:00.0 | Hey guys, welcome to today's podcast. I hate you well. I restart this podcast like 10 times now |
| 0:05.0 | because my throat keeps getting really croaky and I'm like, excuse me, I'm on a bit of a time |
| 0:08.6 | schedule. Can you not do this to me? Anyways, I think I'm all good now. And I think something that I |
| 0:15.3 | just want to go straight in with is something about leveling up as a human and we do this you know it's another word for |
| 0:23.7 | growth but I think leveling up is like another phrase that we can use because sometimes you can |
| 0:31.5 | really see it in yourself or other people and hopefully in yourself and we've all had it you know |
| 0:39.7 | there's times where you're one version of yourself and then suddenly maybe you know you feel |
| 0:44.4 | more confident or you prefer your style more or it's changed or you've got new friends or |
| 0:50.5 | you've let go of some friends or you've got a new job or you live someone new or you've got a new lifestyle. |
| 0:56.0 | And it's those little tweaks that you're like, oh yeah, I've leveled up. And it's so funny, not funny, but like at every age, you know, when I was 15, you know, I was like, oh yeah, like I'm the shit. And then you turn 16 and then you turn 17. And then, you know, even within this year, I think I've had so many different times where, like, you level up in a human and not in a bad egotistical, like, leveling up way, but like in a growth way. |
| 1:20.8 | And something I want to give you like almost like a little thing to think about imagine you're on a ladder okay and you're |
| 1:28.7 | trying to climb up it's all of our goals to climb up and you've got one hand on the step in front of |
| 1:34.3 | you or the rail whatever you call it and you're trying to climb up the thing is you've got one hand |
| 1:39.7 | on the rail below and you're not letting go and when we don't let go of old versions of ourselves or things |
| 1:46.6 | that we used to do or things that used to keep us safe, it's almost like, right, you're trying to |
| 1:50.8 | get up, but you're still holding on the one below you. And so you don't have another hand to actually |
| 1:55.2 | get up there and keep going. And so I think sometimes that's really nice to hear because the truth is growth is never easy and it takes scary things. |
| 2:06.6 | It's not that it doesn't take scary actions or things that scare us and then life's better. |
| 2:11.6 | No, like every time I've grown as a human and this will be the same for you it it was something a little bit |
| 2:18.4 | different and it's because you know we have these fears that something bad will happen but most of the |
| 2:26.4 | time it's the thing that actually lets us grow into the better person and the better version of ourselves |
| 2:33.1 | and so if you're currently in a position where you're torn between something or |
