Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study

of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book. Here on Searchlight, we are looking at an

issue that is very important to God. That issue is unity in the

family. We see the theme of unity throughout the scriptures, but specifically we are looking at the

prayer of Jesus regarding unity found in John chapter 17. On our past Searchlight teaching,

we learned that while God loves unity, Satan desires

disunity. Satan desires to divide and conquer, and we need to be wise about his strategies.

Let's now join Pastor John as we learn more about the blessing of unity and also learn about the danger of disunity.

John 17, beginning at verse 20,

neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word that they all may be one,

as thou father art in me and I in thee,

that they also may be one in us,

that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
