Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

Over the past couple of Searchlight programs, we have been looking at an issue that is very important to God.

That issue is unity in the family. God desires for his children to be one, and when there is unity,

there is pleasure and power. But Satan desires the opposite. He desires to divide the family of God. And so we have been

looking at how Satan tries to do this. By looking at the story of Cain and Abel, we saw

that one way that Satan tries to divide the family is through competition. Next, we saw through

Noah's family that Satan also tries to divide the family through gossip.

As we join our teaching in progress, we are still discussing this issue of gossip. Here now is Pastor John.

Wouldn't it be radical if everybody in Applegate Fellowship refused to listen to gossip period refused the fire

would go out the fire can only go on to the extent people are willing to listen just listen

a tragedy it's a real sin when I listen to gossip,

when I listen to somebody exposing a brother, a sister.
