| 0:00.0 | Welcome to another mother runner. This is Sarah Bowen Shea. I'm joined today by Liz Waterstrat. Hello, Liz. Hi, Sarah. How was Halloween for your three little trick or treaters are not so little. One of them went out on his own, right? |
| 0:24.0 | Yeah, we didn't see him. He took off right after school and but you know, he had a good old time with his buddies and then the other two. They lasted about two hours of, you know, sprinting house to house and it was perfect weather here, but it was a little weird that it was a school night. |
| 0:42.0 | So that that took some of the fun factor out of it. It was a good time. Yeah, yeah. It was at times pouring rain here in Portland, just dumping buckets at times. And so this group of gals that I would assume they were probably middle school age. They came up and were just kind of laughing and being very gregarious. And at this point, it was raining super hard. And I said, oh, I'm so sorry. It's raining. And they said, it's okay. It's better than soccer practice in the rain. |
| 1:12.0 | I'm like, I love that girl. She must be a native Portlander. |
| 1:18.0 | So and this was the first year that my son, who's 17, he did not go out. I was gone over the weekend. I was coming back from Rancho Laquerta. And so they went out to a party with some of their friends. He and his twin sister and their best friend. |
| 1:33.0 | But so he helped me, you know, man the door and he was so sweet when kids would come to the door and being like really engaging them and complimenting them and all this stuff. And I was like, oh my gosh. |
| 1:46.0 | So that was very sweet to see the shoe being on the other foot for my son. |
| 1:50.0 | Yeah, that is nice. |
| 1:52.0 | Yeah, we did the old, you know, put the bowl of candy out on the doorstep. |
| 1:57.0 | Because we're always walking around with our own kids. And I stopped by a few times and did the refill. |
| 2:02.0 | And it was funny. I was walking back at 630 and it was getting dark. |
| 2:07.0 | And I just see these kids rating the candy bowl. And it turns out it was my son's friends. |
| 2:14.0 | So I kind of razzed them a little bit. And then I told them, I said, oh, just take the whole bowl. |
| 2:19.0 | Turn the light off. We're done. |
| 2:23.0 | Oh my goodness, we are our first trigger trigger came by while I was still working. |
| 2:27.0 | And I was really kind of in the midst. I was in a flow state. And I was like, uh, uh, uh, interruption. What's going on? |
| 2:33.0 | And I'm like, oh, it's a trigger trigger. And it was this little girl from down the street. |
| 2:37.0 | She may be three. And she was dressed as a male carrier. |
| 2:40.0 | Oh, so cute. Our regular male hadn't even come yet that day. Even those 445. |
| 2:46.0 | I just was like, oh my gosh, so cute. But then like, how much can you coup over other people's children? |
| 2:52.0 | Yeah. |
| 2:54.0 | Yeah. |
