Hey, everyone. It is your friend Dylan Bowman here. I hope you had a great weekend. Welcome to Pillars and a new

episode with my friend and colleague, Corinne Malcolm. This is a bit of a different episode from our

typical interviews. As most of you know, I might be the world's biggest fan of ultramarathons.

And one of the major things that I really wanted to do

with this show is to occasionally provide some insights and analysis about the races that are

happening and the athletes who are out there working hard and crushing it. And of course, we haven't

had a lot of races to talk about since I started this

podcast, but I do intend to make this a consistent theme of the show going forward. As somebody

who loves the sport and knows it well, I just generally want to bring more of that perspective

to you, the fans of the sport. And that's what we're going to be doing

today with Corinne Malcolm. She is here to add her knowledge and enthusiasm to the equation as well.

Corinne is a pro ultra runner and coach from San Francisco. She runs for Adidas and is one of the smartest minds and one of the most

energetic fans in the sport today. Corinne, she deserves an episode of her own to talk about

all of her athletic accomplishments, which we will get to eventually. But today, it's all about the news of the

moment. Most notably, we talk about the canyons 100K that happened over the weekend, where Corinne had a

front row seat as a volunteer. We then transition and look ahead towards the Western States 100.

Now that the golden ticket races are over and the field is set for the last weekend in June and the

Super Bowl of Ultra Running, at least here in North America.

Then finally, we finish up by touching briefly on the other race that

happened over the weekend, the Jackpot 100 that happened in Las Vegas. I hope you guys
