One year into the Ukraine War, the global North War, the World War, NATO versus Russian Federation.

Chiefly about arms flow these days, but there's also the wider picture of China participating in some fashion.

We stop in Washington, however, because all is not calm in the kingdom by the seas.

There is a new leadership in the House of Representatives, the Republicans.

The Republican Party, I don't mean to be general here, but I do say that isolationism,

traditionally, historically, ceremonially, is a Republican invention, dating back to the 20th century.

However, the isolationism that is expressed these days is clever because it's about vote-getting.

One man seeking some vote somewhere is the very popular and attractive governor of Florida.

So as an example of someone who's not in the House of Representatives, who doesn't speak for

himself or herself on the television cameras, but is in fact a presidential contender,

manned, made the remark, surprisingly to me, that he does not believe that there should be a blank check for Ukraine.

That in the context of the Republican Party is a clue, a foreshadowing of isolationism.

Professor, your measure of Washington now that there's a mixed picture for the resupply of Ukrainian armament.

Well, traditionally, as I read it again very roughly, as you have, the Democrats tend to be in favor of sending American troops wherever there is injustice in the world.

In fact, Mr. Clinton made the comment that the whole point about our intervention in the Balkans, which has led to a crisis between Serbia,

the cost of all with Russia coming and no one is paying attention to it, but what Clinton pride himself in was that we were using our forces in a disinterested way to promote

Grewd in places where we had no particular interest.

In other words, the Democrats are always, or they're regularly willing to intervene, and I think they greatly overestimate what American troops can do.
