Poland rushes troops to border. Belarus denies helicopter violation.

It's a picture of Lukashenko, the dictator of Belarus.

The short version of this is two helicopters approach the line or perhaps

went over airspace in the Poland. They're right up against each other, cheap to jowl.

And the poles have responded with deployment. Jeff, the

rump of the Wagner group is said to be stationed in Belarus, not far from the Polish border.

Said to be. We have no confirmation. The nuclear weapons from Russia are said to be

based in Belarus. We have no confirmation. However, the Polish army is not going to wait,

and these are tests of its response time, of its provocations.

Are you concerned in any fashion that Belarus is a reckless actor, but we'll do what Moscow says,

including probe the line? Well, I don't think they're necessarily reckless,

but they certainly will do whatever Moscow tells them. Lukashenko is certainly a puppet.

And Mr. Putin might well be arguing with Lukashenko if I need you to do this,

to if you will, stretch NATO. Present NATO with the concern that escalation might occur,

because escalation occurs in two ways. One expansion to higher and higher levels of weaponry,

Medvedev's threat to use nuclear weapons. Second way to escalate, threatened by expanding

the geographic territory of the country, obviously moving it into Poland and Belarus does that.
