The NATO challenges are, some are not known, given the state of affairs in Ukraine, but some we can address immediately.

For example, right now, Germany is about to have a new government, a coalition led by Friedrich Merz.

Mr. Merritts has never been a chancellor, never been a politician before his moment in the sun right now.

And within these last days, Mr. Merritts indicated that he would be sending Taurus missiles

to Ukraine.

This has been a debating point for the Olof Schultz coalition, the preceding coalition for some time.

Jeff, what is it Taurus missile?

What is the drama in Germany about sending

it or not sending it?

Well, the Taurus missile, John, is a cruise missile that was developed by the German

Air Force and there's been efforts to try to convince the Germans to deploy that to Ukraine.

Not unlike what the Americans did when we deployed the attack of missile

and the British deployed the storm shadow.

It was actually developed in a joint cooperation between Germany and Sweden.

It has a range of about 300 miles.

It puts it at the same range, or even a little bit farther than the attackans.

And would allow the Ukrainians to continue to hold of risk targets deep into the Russian

Federation.

In particular, they have been effective in trying to destroy Russian energy infrastructure,

which was supposed to be a topic of the recent discussions about a ceasefire against
