I'm Karen Hunter.

And in this space, I'm getting to talk to people that I've only seen from afar and admired.

And one of these people, I grew up when television had sports

on it. So you could watch Wild World of Sports and see Muhammad Ali or Sugar Ray Leonard.

There were tennis matches. I remember seeing Yvonne Guligan when I was a little girl.

And this woman was on TV, Martina Navratilova. And I remember

like it was yesterday because, you know, tennis wasn't what it was with Venus and Serena. So she

was one of the first to come in, fit coming in, strong, looking different than the rest. And

socially, social activism, I've been watching her on social media going hard

to paint.

Why?

Because she was raised in a communist society.

And she sees where we're headed.

So I couldn't wait when she said yes.

Actually, I asked her to join me on the radio show on Sirius XM.

And she was battling cancer two years ago. And I said, when you get healthy, let's come back in. And then I launched this podcast. So I was like, let's go. So when she came in, I was so excited. I forgot to hit record. So we're just talking and chatting. And I looked up and I said, oh, wait, wait a minute. I got to record this. So I did. So what you're going to hear is kind of coming

in on the middle of a conversation about the current state of our union and fascism and communism.

And then we get into our discussion about trans athletes, which she's been very vocal about.

And I think it's important to have that conversation as well as her fight with cancer, which she's been very vocal about. And I think it's important to have that conversation, as well as her fight with cancer,

which she has beaten twice now.
