when they embark on their second life. Today, I have an incredibly noteworthy guest for the pod,

Tyler Haney, who is the CEO of Outdoor Voices, an activeware company she founded in 2014

when she was only 25 years old.

Since starting the company, she's grown it from a concept she worked on in her bedroom

while enrolled at Parsons School of Design to a thriving company with over 120 employees,

$56 million in funding, and a total of 10 stores by the end of 2018.

The Austin-based entrepreneur actually started her career at a fashion startup incubator

before launching her own company, and she's going to tell us all about making that transition.

So tell me what did you think you were going to be when you grew up and what did you want to study in school?

Early on, let's see.

I wanted to go to the Olympics for either running or riding horses.

And what was the second part of the question?

What did you study in school?

I studied business and design in a course called design and management.

So after high school, you moved to Boston for a year.

What did you do there?

And what made you decide to kind of almost essentially take a gap year?
