This week I spoke with musician Buck Meek on Zoom.

He was on the East Coast on tour with Big Thief, and you might know Buck from his band,

Big Thief, or his solo project.

I really loved his album that came out earlier this year called Two Saviors.

We talked about that quite a bit, and also covered collaboration, surfing, following your

impulses creatively and in general, being back touring, friendship, and so much more.

I love to this conversation and I'm really excited for you to hear it.

So you're on tour, you're on the road with Big Thief now. How is it going? You said you're in North Carolina?

We are. We're in North Carolina in a rainstorm. And it's so cozy to borrow your word. We're on the bus. And we have a day off because our show was canceled due to a thunderstorm.

We had an outdoor show, and so we're all just posted up on this bus, and there's a giant mall nearby,

so we were thinking of all going to the mall, which is something I never got to do with a kid, really,

like, run around a mall with my friends. I'm very excited about that.

Oh, I love that. That's such a good rainy day activity.

That's what I love so much about Big Thief is that it really feels like you all are really

close and really genuinely like each other and are all really different. And I think it makes

a magic that I really love to see. I saw you at one of your shows before you left

California and it was so cool to see you perform again. Thank you. Yeah, we're really close. How is it going?
