Hi, I'm Dave. I've been walking for fitness since 2013, averaging about 21,000

steps a day. I am walking right now and would love to have you join me for the next 10 minutes.

There's a little break in the rain as I was leaving the house and heading over to where I'm walking now, the rain started

coming down pretty intensely and then it stopped and it's expected to rain off and on for

the next 30 minutes or so at the moment.

It's dry, but I don't think that's going to last very long.

So if you've been a long time listener to this podcast, you heard some of the earlier episodes before the weather warmed up, where I would be out walking in the rain and the wind and

really basically whining about doing that, because in the wintertime, that rain is cold,

and I'm cold, and it's not fun.

Summertime rain walking is a whole different animal.

This actually feels good.

In fact, I love walking in the rain in the summer.

As long as it's safe.

Last summer I went for a walk and it was lightly raining and I knew that

some heavier rain was moving in and then it started raining harder and the lightning started

flashing and the thunder started booming and And it was moving really close.

And I ducked into a coffee shop and got a text from my wife who knew I was out walking, asking, do you want me to come pick you up?

I'm like, no, I got this.

I figured the dangerous part of the storm would soon pass.

Well, it didn't.
