all about viruses joining me today from New York. Daniel Griffin. Hello everyone. Daniel,

0:32.0

just casual inquiries seems to me that more people are being infected with SARS-CoV-2.

0:37.8

Is that a trend right now? Do you know? You know, it is really hard to get the data anymore,

0:44.3

right? It's hard to find out what exactly is going on. Certain places I know Canada's having

0:50.4

a bit of an issue, the UK is having a bit of an issue. You know, locally, at least when I go to

0:55.6

the hospitals, there are very few people that are actually, you know, SARS-CoV-2 positive. So,

1:03.3

yeah, the biggest challenge is going to be a challenge going forward is really knowing,

1:08.7

because we're not testing, right? It's a lot less testing going on. And your ICU is not full

1:14.8

of COVID patients anymore, right? No, no. It's a very different experience in the hospital.

1:21.4

And do you have any sense of this is my last question for now? Do you have any sense of

1:27.9

what fractions of tests actually get reported so that we know how many people are positive in the US?

1:34.9

You know, my impression is the minority because most folks are doing home testing.

1:41.4

Yeah. And, you know, and a lot of times that's all we're doing. If someone, you know, someone

1:45.1

has consistent symptoms, they have a good story. I saw someone who's actually an add-on, maybe I

1:50.4

already mentioned them later on, but an add-on at the end of the day Tuesday. It was a young lady

1:56.3

early 30s pregnant. She started feeling just crummy fever, cough, trouble breathing. She did a

2:05.0

rapid, it was positive. Actually, between the time she did the rapid and the time that I saw her,

2:10.4

she found out that her grandmother who had just gone to the emergency room was also positive,

2:14.6

as was her mother. Yeah. In a situation like that, I mean, that person's never going to go get a
