Hello everybody and welcome back to YouTube News the podcast. My name is Benedict Townsend and how am I today?

Well, thank you for asking. I'm feeling a little bit raw, if I'm honest with you, a little bit sore

because England did not win the Euros. For those of you who don't know or care, England got to the

finals of the Euros probably the first time ever. And it was supposed

to be coming home football, but it did not come home. It texted at the last minute and was like,

I'm going to stay out. And I'm not going to go on about this because I know it's annoying when you

don't care about sports and someone goes on and on about sports on a podcast. Like there's this gaming

podcast I listen to and every so often for no reason, they'll just break out into a long chat about American football. And I'm like, I don't care. And they're like, the dang patriots. And I'm like, I don't care. So I'm not going to bore you with this other than to say I'm feeling dejected, hollow and like I wish to perish. And I think that's the

perfect note on which to start this fun comedy podcast. Let's start the show. Yes, welcome back

everybody. My name is Benedict Townsend. It's wonderful to be back here with you once again

on another installment of the YouTube News podcast or YouTube

a News The Podcast. Who knows what this show is called? It's great to see you. You're doing well.

Is that a new shirt? It's very nice. You've got a button missing down below, though. Don't

worry. Happens to all of us. You look a mess. Fix it. I don't know what some of you might be thinking.

There might be some of you are hanging near the back of the group you know looking at their shoes thinking well i'm embarrassed because this is my very first

episode of the show everyone around me is a real veteran everyone else knows all the in jokes you know

how am i going to get on and the answer of course is badly because the show is incredibly dense

with jokes but here's the thing all are welcome even if it's your very first episode of the show, all are welcome here. It's kind of like La Familia, which is Italian for the best mates. I don't really want to be speaking Italian right now. Not after the Euros. I won't go on about it. I won't go on about it. But of course they did win the euros. And that's, uh, let's just say they've served up a spicy meatball of pain. And on that wonderfully positive note, why don't we roll straight into our first story? And this is actually somewhat sports related. It's to do with Addison Ray, who is now, of course, famously the third most popular person on TikTok. And if you want to know who the second

most popular person is, you'll have to listen to last week's episode of the YouTube News podcast.

Audio wink. But Addison Ray caught some heat on social media. What's an influencer? Catching

Heat? What's new? And I think she caught heat quite unfairly because basically it all started with her posting a picture to Instagram where she was wearing some UFC ultimate fighting champion gear and sort of teasing that she'd be doing something with the UFC company. This was on July the 9th. And everyone was like, what's she going to do? Is she going to be a big fighter now? Is she going to be doing some boxing? What's Addison Ray doing?

But then, all of a sudden, some images appeared on Twitter that showed her with a microphone,
