It's this week in bourbon, and if you're drinking up for derby time, you're probably going to end up with a hangover.

Merger discussions between Brown-Forman and Pernaud Ricard are now officially over. Four North Carolina

lobbyists have been indicted for organizing a bourbon tasting, and Blade and Bow is releasing their highly, ultra-premium, 22-year Kentucky straight bourbon. And before we come back, here's a quick word from our partners.

Derby edition. Happy Derby week. It's the most wonderful time of the year here in Louisville, Kentucky.

It sure is. We didn't really get dressed up for it, though.

Were you very, like, colored out and garb and everything like that?

Yeah, I had my, like, Carolina blue sport coat with some navy pants, and then Tiff got me at Pocket Square, and and I'm like what the hell do I do with this so I got on Instagram and looked out and folded and I made like a nice little rose out of it everybody was impressed with it but yeah I saw you had your your bow tie and all your fancy swag on no bow tie this year I thought you had a bow tie in the picture. No, I just wore my regular tie, but it was one I pulled out from the archives.

It was an old vineyard vines tie that I have that had mint juleps and horses racing on it.

I mean, I got it, I got an archive of old.

Did you bring out the woven belt, too?

Maybe some boat shoes, right? Some sparries every once in a while. No, I didn't have any of that. But I do want to give a quick shout out. in their finish line suites for another fun, exciting time during, what was it? Wednesday, Wednesday, W-I-N-S-D-A. And shout-out to, sorry I didn't make it, but I was downstairs in the Woodford Paddock Club. Yeah, you're in the other Woodford area. Gosh, that thing's awesome. If you haven't been, it's absolutely incredible. You got great food, great views of the paddock. You can go in the paddock and then you have your own viewing area right on in between the starting and finish line. Yeah, it was fun. Yeah. Unlimited. Unlimited. I did one mint julep and I was like, huh. We're done.

Did bourbon and genders. We're done. And this was usually not my normal self. We go into the

suite, which was all, they were all brand new renovated, which was great to see that inside of there.

And then ran into one of our good friends that we know is one of the brand managers for everything of Herodura tequila and ended up just starting my day off with Carrillo or whatever it is, like the coffee type of.

It's like they're spin on an espresso martini.
