The race is on, and the inaugural Tuscan Grand Prix at Magello brought red flags, good racing and recriminations are plenty, after just 12 drivers made it to the end of a race that took two hours and 19 minutes to complete.

Up front, it was a familiar story as Lewis Hamilton took his sixth win of the season,

while Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas ended up disappointed again.

I'm Ed Straw and joining me to look back on the race are Scott Mitchell and Mark Hughes.

Now Mark, first and foremost, this was a Grand Prix with a crowd, wasn't it, for the first time this year?

So I presume it was a normal Italian F1 crowd who mobbed anyone unfortunate enough to be wearing a red shirt,

or was all a little bit more calm and socially distanced?

Yeah, you had to look hard to see whether it was just a little selection of the Ferrari fan

club and they were, had their own little bit that was distance from everyone else

and yeah I think it was 3,000 of them there but they were spread out so yeah at least it's marked

you know hopefully a little tick on the on the bedposts on the return back to normality.

See, it's great to see Magello, isn't it, having a Grand Prix?

It's the first time there's been F1 cars racing there,

not just World Championship, but for anything.

Yeah, it's great. I think there was a lot of, there's a very romantic view of Mugelo before,

before this race. And I think we were all looking forward to what the cars would look like on

track and then the spectacle of qualifying. And I think I probably speak for the majority

But I think from start to finish, I've really enjoyed this weekend.

It's just nice to have a track where pretty much anywhere they are on track, it's quite enjoyable to watch it.
