The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. A series of stabbings shocked Canadians over the weekend.

Ten people were left dead with almost 20 injured at over a dozen different crime scenes in Saskatchewan.

As of this recording, police are still looking for one suspect, Miles Sanderson, after they found the body of the other suspect, his brother Damien Sanderson, on land belonging to the James Smith Cree Nation.

Damien Sanderson's body was found with wounds that authorities claim were not self-inflicted

and warned the public that the living suspect may be injured as well, but still armed and

dangerous.

Last week, I told you California had passed a law that would give fast food workers more power and more protections.

But it awaited Governor Gavin Newsom's signature while he officially signed the bill into law yesterday.

Under the new law, a 10-member fast food council will be created.

It'll consist of equal numbers of workers' delegates and employers' representatives,

as well as two state officials. Together, they'll set minimum standards for wages, hours,

and working conditions for all of the people working in the California fast food industry.

Under this law, workers could be making up to $22 an hour next year at chains with more

than 100 locations. Restaurant owners and franchisers have been against the law from its conception,

arguing it would increase consumer costs. Former President Donald Trump got to win this past weekend

when a federal judge granted him a special master.
