Russia has cut off gas supplies to Europe indefinitely. They've said that the punishments

in economic sanctions that the West imposed on them as a country are the reason they decided

to cut the gas. Russia also said the supply would resume if Europe lifted

or relaxed the sanctions. Gas prices in Europe surged more than 35% on Monday, and many Europeans are

fearful they'll have to fraction energy throughout the winter. As the students of Yuvaldi, Texas,

returned to school for the first time since the

mass shooting in May, five of the officers who were on site at Rob Elementary during the shooting

have been referred to the Texas Inspector General to determine if the officer's actions or

inaction warrant any discipline. Two of those five officers have been suspended with pay

and have to wait for the inspector general to complete an investigation before knowing

if they're allowed to return to their jobs. In the meantime, the director of the Department of

Public Safety in Texas has issued two new orders for law enforcement in Texas. The first order

states that once an active shooter is declared at a school, the

situation cannot be treated as anything else until the shooter is neutralized.
