Poland is demanding $1.3 trillion from Germany in war reparations for the Nazis World War II invasion and occupation.

Poland released a report on what the cost of the war was for their country. The leader of Poland's law and justice party said they plan on

being in open negotiations with Germany and claims German economy is capable of paying the bill.

Germany argues they paid compensation to East Block nations in the

years after the war and considers their reparations concluded.

The death penalty trial for the former student responsible for the Stoneman Douglas Valentine's

shooting back in 2018 resumed yesterday. And the judge ruled the jury would be allowed to see the swastikas

the shooter drew on multiple school assignments. The defense team for the shooter had attempted

to block that evidence from the trial as they make their case to avoid the death penalty.

The idea behind the defense's attempt to block the Nazi symbol from the trial was crucial

to their argument that the shooter set out to kill students regardless of their race or religion

and that showing the Nazi symbol would fuel so much anger from the jury, it would hinder the

defendant's opportunity at a fair case.
