Hey friends, welcome back to today's episode of Everyday Truth. Obviously, we have a little bit of a

different format here today, set up the studio a bit different. So those of you that are listening

on audio probably don't notice much of a difference, although you might

hear a little bit of an audio difference because I'm using an overhead boom mic right now that I'm

looking at and not just the regular microphone in front of me. But hopefully it'll work,

at least for the time being. We're in Genesis chapter 32, if you happen to have a copy

of God's word. And we are with Jacob, and Jacob is in a position of fear. Remember, Jacob has been

gone for 20 years, and now he's returning to his homeland, and Esau, he has heard, has come out to meet him.

But not just Esau, 400 men.

So I don't know how Jacob can interpret this any differently than to think that these men are there to do harm to Jacob and to his family.

And think about it.

Jacob has just escaped a near, he's just had a near miss with Laban,
