I appreciate you starting this day with me and it starts right now.

We always start with the top story. It was another stormy stormy weekend in the US. Saturday and Sunday were brutal and that

continued yesterday Memorial Day as 120 million of us were still at risk of severe

weather. The Northeast got hit hard last night. Thousands are without power this morning.

On Sunday, at least 11 tornadoes hit states like Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and

Kentucky. As of this morning, the most updated numbers I've seen say that at least 22 people

lost their lives on account of these storms this weekend.

According to Weather Nation, here in the US, this tornado season is on track to be one of the

most active in history.

There were over 300 in April and May has obviously been brutal as well

All right, okay getting into sports here first. Cong to Joseph New Garden he won his second consecutive

indie 500 on Sunday he's the first driver to win that race two years in a row in more than 20 years

if you wanted to watch it though you had to wait a bit that previously mentioned severe weather caused a lengthy delay.

They had to evacuate 125,000 fans from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at one point crazy.

Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever

grabbed their first win of the season over the weekend.

They beat the LA Sparks on Friday.
