Hey guys, welcome back. We are in First Kings 8 today talking about the temple, but much more important than the temple is what is in the temple.

And that would be true of the Old Testament temple. And that would be true of your temple too.

It's one thing to talk about the outside. It's one thing to talk about construction and

furnishings and all the things that we've been

talking about, but it's quite a different thing to look right at the center of the inside,

right at the heart of the issue and say, what is there? God is always concerned about our

heart motivation and what is central in our lives. And make no mistake

about it, what was to be central in the temple was the presence of the Lord. That's why Jesus was so

irked when he entered the temple in his public ministry for the first time in John 2, and he drove
