Hey, friends.

Welcome back to another episode here at the studio in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

We're talking about the dedication of the temple, which is one of the hallmark events in the Old Testament.

Remember, Solomon was the builder, the architect.

But really, it was the heart of David.

It was something that David had in his heart, something he just longed to do.

But God gave him specific instruction, David, you're not to do this.

You're just to prepare the next generation to do this. So Solomon is following through on something

that was born in the heart of David. And the temple is complete. All the accoutrements, the construction, all the various compartments, everything is done.

And now in the dedication, a portion of it, the presence of God has come.

And all is vain unless the spirit of the Holy One comes down. And that's what's happened. And we

left in verse 11 last episode. So look at that if you would. The priests could not stand to minister

because of the cloud for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.

And that's just a, wow, I don't know sometimes if we just don't stop as we read the Bible

and think about how awesome that must have been, that the glory of God was so palpable.
