Hey, guys. Welcome back. I've got my red sweater on today. So I'm living out loud.

Somebody had the audacity to tell me today that I look like Mr. Rogers. Now, come on.

Mr. Rogers didn't have a V-neck sweater. He had a button down,

cardigan. But anyway, that's the kind of persecution that I endure here at the office on a daily

basis. But, hey, I'm going to get through it. We're going to get to First Kings chapter eight

today in our, well, I think it's chapter 7 in our Bible today.

I told you yesterday that we were going to try to cover this chapter a little bit more panoramically,

maybe a little bit more from a 30,000 foot level, just because there are so many details

about how this was constructed and what material was used for this and how big this was.

And while that's all important, and I think obviously all the Bible, every verse is there for

great value, I think sometimes there is value as

well and looking at a chapter a little bit more generally. And that's what we're going to do today.

We learned last episode that Solomon is he's completing the temple and now he's begun to work on the temple complex, including

his own palace and the outlying buildings. And what we'll find today is that what Solomon does

is he builds the courtyard, the big expansive courtyard. And it's kind of hard to picture because if any of you
