Now, let's join Kurt for today's episode. Hello, my friends. Welcome back to yet another episode of everyday truth as we continue our study really of the Lord Jesus. And I think most of you know

that the Bible is all about Jesus. It literally is his story,

the story of redemption. God's plan to rescue the world. And God's plan to rescue the world can be

answered in one word. And that word is Jesus because Jesus is the very embodiment of all of the good things

that God has planned for you and for me. He truly is the answer. And in chapter six of first kings,

Solomon exercising great wisdom, making incredible preparation and provision, has now, in the fourth year of his reign,

begun to build the temple of God. And we're learning all about it. We're learning about its size.

We're learning about the storage units on the outside. We're going to learn a little bit about

the inside and its purpose.

Now, the purpose of this chapter is not to give us all of the details.

If you want to get detailed about the Ha-Mcdash or the Bait Ha-Mchdash, the temple,

we can get detailed, but that's not the purpose of this chapter. Look at verse 7 and the temple, we can get detailed, but that's not the purpose of this chapter.

Look at verse 7, and the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready

before it was brought thither. And we talked about this a couple episodes ago, and that is

that all of the chisel work, all of the forming work, and even some

some of the outward decorative elements of these huge stones was all done off sight,

so that by the time these pieces of the temple arrived in Jerusalem, which was no small task
