Hi, what's going on friends welcome to a brand new day Tuesday January 10th 2023. Hey today is the

0:06.6

one year anniversary of my first episode of this show. I know a lot of you have been with me since

0:11.7

day one. So congrats to us on our anniversary. Thanks for being a part of it. I really do appreciate

0:16.6

that. A few celebrity birthdays today. Pat Benatar, George Foreman and Sir Rod Stewart. He's 78. Happy

0:23.4

birthday. Big anniversary in the TV world as well on this date 24 years ago. The sopranos premiered

0:30.7

on HBO really sort of changed TV regularly referenced as the greatest TV show of all time. It's a

0:37.0

matter of opinion, but it was a good one. All right, let's get to it. All of the headlines delivered

0:50.1

quickly and efficiently as you start today we always start with the top story. And today that's

0:54.4

the situation out west yesterday 90% of Californians were under a flood watch. That's about 34 million

1:01.2

people. The storms have been relentless out there heavy rain and strong wind. I heard this weather

1:06.1

pattern referred to as a parade of cyclones coming over the next few days. That's not good.

1:10.8

President Biden officially declared it an emergency northern California has been getting hit especially

1:16.4

hard. I have friends that were forced to evacuate their home up there. A lot of communities have

1:20.3

been telling residents to get out Montecito, for example. I know a bunch of celebs live there like

1:25.1

Oprah Prince Harry, Katy Perry, Chris Pratt, Rob Logue, Wineth Paltrow, Ellen DeGeneres. She actually

1:30.8

posted a video of water rushing through a creek behind her. I have that linked if you want to see it

1:35.4

at first thing. Pud. It's scary. They've had so much rain lately into the ground and infrastructure

1:40.6

just can't take anymore, especially after a historic drought. So that coupled with the aftermath of

1:46.2

wildfires that equals mudslides and rock falls, just a bad combo. There have been a lot of down

1:51.1

trees as well. Lots of power outages. There's this unfortunate story about a five-year-old boy that

1:56.1

was swept away by flood waters and they had to call off the search because it was just too dangerous.

2:00.7

It's unreal. The storm is expected to shift south closer to Los Angeles today. Stay safe friends.
