I'm your host Annie F. Downs and I'm so happy to be here with you.

It is Holy Week, the week between Palm Sunday and Easter.

And each day, I will be reading the stories from the Gospels.

That's Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John that coincide with this exact day.

If you're just jumping in with us, I recommend going back to Sunday and starting

and doing the whole week with us and then catching up with us to today, which is Thursday.

And I will be reading from the Dr. Tony Evans study Bible in the Christian standard version.

I also want to remind you, I'm going to read the story in all four Gospels.

And I would encourage you to listen to the ways they are the same and the ways they are

different.

The details that some of the authors noticed that others didn't and what really stands

out to you about the differences and the similarities.

So I'll start in Matthew, chapter 26, verse 17 through 46.

On the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, where do you want

us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?

Go into the city to a certain man, he said, and tell him, the teacher says, my time is

near.

I am celebrating the Passover at your place with my disciples.

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

When evening came, he was reclining at the table with the 12.
