Summary

The Locked On Vols podcast is your daily show covering Tennessee football, brought to you by Josh Ward. Thursday was a tough day for sports fans and most everyone in America. The SEC tournament was canceled, then the NCAA Tournament was called off - the world sports world pretty much shut down. Hear from Rick Barnes and SEC commissioner Greg Sankey discussing those topics in the first segment. Segment No. 2 focuses on Tennessee football and that popular offseason word: development. And Lamonte Turner talks about Jordan Bowden in segment No. 3 as Bowden's UT career came to an end on Thursday. Interested in advertsing with Locked On Vols? Thursday was really an unforgettable day with what happened with the SEC tournament and the news

0:22.1

of the NCAA tournament and other NCAA sports and all the other news that broke in the

0:27.5

sports world and just what was going on with the topic around the coronavirus and just all

0:33.7

the conversation. It happened so quickly on Thursday. Today's show is going to be an

0:39.3

interesting one talking about what happened on Thursday. You're going to hear from Rick Barnes. You're

0:42.8

going to hear from SEC Commissioner Greg Sanky. I'm not going to spend the entire show on the

0:48.3

subject, but I'm going to lead off with it because it is a big one. And Thursday was really a bummer

0:54.0

of a day, wasn't it?

0:54.9

0:59.5

to every year.

1:00.4

It's right up there near the top for everybody in favorite sporting events, and it's gone.

1:05.5

And then you start to think about all the players who were about to play in that game,

1:09.3

and then you think about the conference tournaments, and guys who were playing to try to win a conference tournament or

1:14.6

keep their seasons alive and then all of a sudden it's over. So it was a bummer. I'm going to

1:20.5

try to keep the spirits high here. In segment number one, you're going to hear Rick Barnes talk

1:24.1

about the SEC's decision. Greg Sanky's going to talk about kind of the

1:27.9

process that went into the decision making and really offer some perspective on how quickly

1:33.7

things developed over the last couple of days. I'm going to get some Tennessee football in as well.
