It has been a weird week with everything going on with the coronavirus and COVID-19 talk out there.

And it is having an effect on sports in a major way.

And that includes the SEC tournament as Wednesday evening after the Georgia Ole Miss game.

The SEC announced that the rest of the tournament Thursday through the weekend would be played without fans at Bridgestone Arena, just like with other conference tournaments and the Incibly making that announcement and the NIT.

So the SEC will not play games with fans there.

So Tennessee against Alabama at 1 o'clock will just be the players, the essential staff members that are there, credentialed media,

will be present as well. So you can watch the game on TV, but there won't be fans in person

news. And there have been a number of other decisions made. And that continues to be the case as the NBA announced after the Oklahoma City Utah Jazz game was postponed that play within the league was being suspended.
