Okay. So let's start with a quote by Lao Tzu. It's one of my favorites. He says,

nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.

Notice how that one lands in your body.

For me, every time I read it,

but especially when I'm in periods of fomo, hurry,

or feeling like I'm not keeping up, this really settles my system.

And not in a way that causes me to passively resign or get lazy or excuse myself from having to do hard work because sometimes nice quotes that you

read on Instagram can do that. They're like a little morphine trip. Oh, okay. I don't have to,

I don't have to work anymore. It doesn't do that for me. It really speaks to a truth that I think something in me can recognize

on a deep level, which is that there is an unfolding that has its own timeline that is often

unknown and mysterious to all things in nature.

And guess what? We're part of nature as humans.

And you can see it if you just let yourself go outside and look.

We live in Northern California now, and we have redwoods all around us. And it's just remarkable to think about the lifespan

of these huge organisms. You know, you see the little ones around periodically, and they're

just small little plants, right? They could easily be crushed by a foot.

But when they're given the conditions of space, warmth, light, water, soil, and time,

they become something almost miraculous.
