That was a very long four plus years. Good job hanging in there, everyone.

Okay, we've got two very different topics on this episode. First, we're going to do some speculative

interviewing. Kicked off by a story that surfaced last week about Apple, maybe launching a subscription podcast service or some kind of tier of podcast that you pay for. I've done some asking around. I'm not entirely convinced that's what's going to happen. That's in large part because everyone I talk to that says they've talked to Apple has a very different story about Apple's intent and what their plan is.

But for arguments sake, let's say Apple does try to get people to pay for podcasts.

What would that look like and how do you sell podcasts, which are traditionally offered for free?

I asked Brian Alvarez, for reasons I explained in our short chat, Brian runs Figure 4 online and wrestling observer.
