That's President Donald Trump warning other U.S. cities after declaring a crime emergency in D.C. and deploying the National Guard.

You look at Chicago, how bad it is. you look at Los Angeles how bad it is.

We have other cities that are very bad. New York has a problem.

And then you have, of course, Baltimore and Oakland.

We don't even mention that anymore. They're so far gone.

The move from Trump in D.C. draws on a sweeping law

which allows the president to take emergency control of the city's police

for up to 48 hours, if he determines, quote, special conditions of an emergency nature exist.

But three sources told CNN, Washington's mayor Muriel Bowser and leaders of the Metropolitan

Police Department didn't know about Trump's intentions ahead of his announcement.

This all stems from the assault of a 19-year-old former Doge worker during an attempted

carjacking on August 3rd.
