President Donald Trump's decision to declare a crime emergency and federalized D.C.'s police force has led to confusion over what happens now.

That's what multiple sources told CNN, who say the Metropolitan Police and Federal agencies are scrambling to figure out roles

and strategy. Yesterday, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said she was trying to set up a meeting

with Attorney General Pam Bondi, who Trump says will be overseeing the implementation of his

order. CNN's Jeff Zellonies says it's not clear how this will all play out, and if it will

actually reduce crime.

People here in Washington, I've lived here for a long time, there is concern about crime.

So right now, on the streets of D.C., there are federalized police force, but there were no

advanced conversations with the leaders of the police force, how this actually will go.
