From CNN, I'm Aaron Matheson with the five things you need to know for Tuesday, October 21st. We start with President Donald Trump, whose hopes for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, have stalled out.

no plans for a summit between the two, quote, in the immediate future.

This is a shift from an earlier announcement where Trump, following a phone call
