Good morning, everyone. I'm Erica Hill. It is Tuesday, June 9th. Here are your five things. Number one, the elections. In California, the race for Los Angeles mayor is now set. Spencer Pratt is out, despite an upstart campaign that tapped into outrage over homelessness and wildfire response. City councilwoman Nitya Raman moving into second place as more mail and ballots were counted.

She will now face the incumbent, Mayor Karen Vass, in November.

Today, the midterm focus shifts to four states holding primaries, Nevada, North Dakota, South Carolina, and Maine.

In Maine, Democrats are grappling with whether to support Senate candidate Graham Platner,

despite a string of controversies,

including three women who told the New York Times they experienced what they described as toxic relationships with Platner,

one of them accusing him of physical intimidation, allegations that Platner denies.

Here's what voters are telling CNN.

Honestly, I would vote for a doorknob over Susan Collins. He's not a perfect guy, but I agree with his politics.

My whole goal is only to beat Susan Collins.

With my nose pinched, I'll vote for Grand Platner.
