I have no higher priority than making America affordable again. That's what we're going to do.

And again, they cause the high prices and we're bringing them down. It's a simple message.

President Donald Trump gave a campaign-style speech in Pennsylvania last night, where he

hit home his economic message.

Democrats are to blame for high prices, and his administration is going to address them.

But at times, he seemed to undermine his own message, calling affordability concerns a hoax.

They have a new word, you know, they always have a hoax.

The new word is affordability.

So they look at the camera and they say, this election is all about affordability.

His speech was also undercut by long and insult-ridden tangents, against the Federal Reserve,

the Somali community, and Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar.

And not all Republicans agree with how Trump is playing down these economic concerns.

Here's what South Carolina Representative Nancy Mace told CNN about her district.

It is the number one issue in South Carolina.

It is the economy. It is wages. It is jobs, it is, can I afford this mortgage or this rent?
