President Donald Trump declined to say what would be considered a ceasefire violation between Iran and the U.S., telling reporters today,

The U.S. and Iran have traded shots in the Strait of Hormuz after the President announced

plans for the U.S. to guide some ships through the waterway.

Earlier today, Defense Secretary Pete Hexed said the ceasefire isn't over and said that

the U.S. effort to help ships through the strait is temporary.

Meanwhile, in today's White House briefing, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the combat operation

launched in February against Iran is over, suggesting the American priority was reopening the

strait. He also called the U.S. military's actions in recent days during the ceasefire a defensive

operation as the naval blockade continues.
