Good morning. I'm Kate Baldwin. It is Wednesday, May 6. Here are the five things you need to know to start your day.

Number one, the evacuation. Today, three sick passengers are expected to be taken off that cruise ship stranded off the coast of Africa.

The boat was still trying to contain an outbreak now suspected to be a rare

rodent-borne illness. One of the people now being evacuated as a doctor described to be in

serious condition from the Hanta virus. Three other people on the boat, remember, have already

died from it. And now there's something of a fight over where the rest of the nearly 150 people on board will go.

Included on board are 17 Americans.

The cruise ship was supposed to dock in Spain's Canary Islands in a few days so passengers could be assessed by medical personnel.

But the regional government there says they are not welcome and is now pushing to meet with Spain's prime minister over this.

Right now the ship is anchored near the island of Cape Bird off of Africa's west coast.

The World Health Organization is now investigating, of course, and sharing this, you call it the

dominant theory right now of how this outbreak started.

So our assumption is they were infected off the boat and then joined the cruise.

The cruise did stop at many different islands up the coast of Africa and again seeing a lot of different wildlife.

On those islands there are birds. Some islands have a lot of rodents, Others don't. The WHO is not ruling out possible human-to-human transmission, but cautions that the virus does not spread easily.

Everyone on the ship is now under strict isolation orders until they figure out what happens next.

Number two, the manhunt. There is a situation unfolding in Tennessee

that is wild, scary, and super sad. Investigators are searching for a man, a special

forces veteran actually, who police say disappeared into the woods after shooting his wife.

This happened in the northwestern corner of Middle Tennessee and Stewart County Sheriff says a

trail camera captured a blurry photo of a man in camouflage and they believe

that is 53 year old Craig Berry he's a retired soldier who deployed to Iraq
