For over a hundred years, the Boy Scouts of America have covered up some of the deepest, darkest

crimes against children imaginable. And in today's story, we're going to be discussing a pedophile

ring that was operating within the Boy Scouts, connected to an international group of predators

that were preying on young boys, producing child pornography, and even potentially snuff films.

Today's episode is going to be incredibly disturbing, as always. I mean, I don't think there's ever been a happy episode of this show,

but I do like to warn people that viewer and listener discretion is advised

because we're going to be going through some graphic details

and explaining this thing very, very clearly.

So you know the names of the abusers. You know the names of the victims. And you see just how

all these people got away. The injustice in this case is staggering. As always, everybody,

So I remember being a kid, and I was actually in Boy Scouts for a couple years.

My big thing really was going to like a summer camp that was in Sioux Falls, South Dakota,

where I'm from, called Leif Erickson.

And it wasn't like Boy Scouts, but it was like kids going all

summer, hanging out with adults, doing outdoor recreational activities. I believe I went 11 years

in a row. They gave you an award like after every year that you went. And I know that I got the

highest award for like going the most amount of years that you can go. So that was fun. But when I was in Boy Scouts,

even back then, I remember just getting kind of a weird vibe around some of the troop leaders.

To me, it's something that's kind of weird. I mean, like, I know that if you're a Boy Scout and you've

enjoyed Boy Scouts, that's totally great. And I commend you for, you know, doing what you've done with your life. I've actually been really good friends with a couple of people that were Eagle Scouts.

So I know how positive and beneficial being a Boy Scout can be for your life.
