We all know that the first season of True Detective was one of the best seasons in all of television history,

involving pedophile rings, satanic murders, serial killers, and so much more.

But what if I told you that Season 1 of True Detective was based on a true story?

A story that's so bizarre and so disturbing that you might not even believe that it really happened.

This true story is so similar to the plot of Season 1 of True Detective that it shocked me when

I started researching this and it's tied up in conspiracy, religion, the devil, and crimes

against children.

This is an important story that we need to talk about and a story that has no real resolution. Thank you for

So some personal opinions, I gotta say, True Detective Season 1, one of the best seasons of any television show.

In TV history, I will die on that hill.

I absolutely think that it is the perfect television.

It's nitty, it's gritty, the one-shot scene of Matthew McConaughey running through the

neighborhood that he's in, you know, with the person that he's trying to smuggle out and

take hostage.

There's just so much and it's so good. It's so well written. And doing my research one day for the show, I came across

this story that is literally one of the inspirations for the plot of the show. And it's incredibly,

deeply disturbing. I could not believe that this is, this is true and this really happened. I also know a guy

who I'm working on a project with whose book about a similar ring was actually used as

inspiration for true detective. So he knows the showrunners. It's kind of a cool connection,

you know, with that world. A horrific connection when you realize what the connection's from.
