I recently sat down with them to discuss their careers at Variety Magazine's Music for Screens event.

to work on what became social network.

What was the first thing he said to you?

He had been reaching out saying, I have a film, I think you'd be perfect to score.

I had not scored a film before.

I was just finished a long tour.

I was burnt out.

And I was thinking, you know, it had been something I'd been interested in doing,

but I wasn't at full speed

ready to take on that task.

And in my mind, I thought, great, serial killers, you know, no, it's about the founding

of Facebook.

You know.

But I read the script and it was excellent, but I thought about it and I really didn't feel
