All right, cold weather's getting here.

It's November, beginning into one of those transition seasons, getting to be too cold

to bike, and we've got to pull out some of the warmer clothing for hiking, and it might

even be time to start dusting off that winter hiking gear.

This is my plan when it starts to get cold.

Today, in fact, I moved my bike from the garage to the basement, and I've started bringing

my tools, my bike stand, so I could start getting my bike cleaned up and check it over,

and have it put away for the winter.

What I'll start doing later in a week is start pulling out the winter gear and going

through it, looking at my microspice, cramp on snow shoes, and see what kind of shape

they're in.

To my knowledge, they're still in great shape.

I'm tempted to upgrade my snow shoes, but what I have is still working, so I'm not going

to replace them.

But I don't want to just go by what I remembered, what they looked like back in March.

I'm going to take everything out and give it a once over.
