What is going on everybody? Welcome back to the Mind Over Macrows Podcast as always. I'm your

0:06.9

host Mike Milner in today's episode I was reminded of something and I want to

0:11.7

share that reminder and it's a really important reminder because

0:16.0

sometimes I forget that I take certain things for granted having done this for a very long time and one of those things that I take for granted is the idea that

0:26.5

most people look at macro tracking, dieting, their nutrition plan as some kind of temporary thing, something that they're on or off,

0:38.8

something that they start and stop and the path from going from that perspective to the this is just something that I do.

0:48.3

This is my forever plan. Now in particular I want to talk about macros because macro tracking is something that a lot of us use as a tool to make changes.

1:01.2

But if we continue to rely purely on that tool, then do we actually know, like, let me give you an example first.

1:34.3

you know PDF or whatever like cool you can follow instructions that doesn't mean

1:39.8

that you can live your life sustainably and have a healthy lifestyle and achieve your goals and live

1:46.1

happily ever after. It just means you can follow a set of instructions. Now, macros are slightly

1:51.9

different, but you could make the argument that macros are kind of the same thing.

1:56.8

Like what do you do when you're not, like, do you want to track macros for the rest of your life?

2:01.2

Do you want to be in social situations and always be tracking?

2:04.2

And you know a lot of times coaches will say, well no, you just take a day off.

2:08.2

But like even still, do you want to be tracking six, seven days a week?

2:12.4

Do you only want to take a certain, like,

2:14.8

I only stop tracking when I'm on vacation.

2:17.3

I only stop tracking when I go out with friends.

2:20.6

Like, is that, did you learn anything in that scenario?

2:24.0

Or are you still dependent on the tool just like being dependent on a meal plan?
