#495 This week we're sharing our Transition to Calm Guided Relaxation with our thanks to all medical staff and key workers serving at this challenging time. This guided meditation was inspired by a police officer who would come home from work each day and use guided meditation to transition over from his very stressful and fast-paced day to spending gentle time with his 5-year-old daughter. The Welcome back to Anxiety Slayer. We are coming together today just for a quick conversation to kind of give you the back story of a guided meditation that we'll be sharing with

It's from our transition to Calm album, our very first album, many, many moons ago.

And recently we've been sharing this meditation with the people on the

front line during COVID-19 with anybody who's still working and of course with the

health care professionals and all that are doing everything they can to keep us safe and healthy and cared for.

We thought we wanted to have a greater reach and share this with you and hope that you share it with friends and family members and

anyone you can think of that's serving humanity during this really challenging, unsettling time.

Yeah, we made this meditation as you said Chan some time ago and it was inspired by the story of a policeman, a police officer who was a road traffic officer and he was

dealing with a lot of accidents and fatalities and then coming home to his young daughter.

And he was looking for help to transition over from that very fast-paced,

sometimes seeing very distressing things during his working day and then switching

home to being a soft dad with his little girl and he started using guided meditation.

He would come home, take a shower, lay on his bed and listen to guided meditation to switch

state and that really inspired me and we were thinking if a police

officer can switch out from dealing with such trauma and intense visuals and situations to being able to come home and calm his mind and switch out into the state that's appropriate to being a father with a young daughter that really spoke to us once again of the power of guided relaxation.

And so we made this relaxation called Transition to Calm, inspired by that story to help anyone who's

going through a very intense day or who's had a very intense experience be able to put the meditation on and take themselves out for a few minutes and relax their mind and nervous system and transition over into a calm state.
